Francis Kéré honored with 2025 Richard Neutra Award
Francis Kéré has been named the 2025 recipient of the Richard Neutra Award for Professional Excellence. The award, presented annually by the Department of Architecture at Cal Poly Pomona, recognises architects whose work has significantly shaped the built environment worldwide. Kéré will accept the honour and deliver a keynote lecture at Cal Poly Pomona in September.
Kéré is the 30th architect to receive the Neutra Award. His work is celebrated for its blend of community‑driven design, sustainability and respect for climate and place. In accepting the award, he noted the influence of Neutra’s ideas on his own approach, particularly the concept of architecture serving both nature and people.
The Neutra Award joins a series of major honours in Kéré’s career, including the 2022 Pritzker Architecture Prize.
